It's that time a year again when we think about getting back to health. Instead of making a huge list this year, think about just choosing 3 things you would like to change about yourself. For example, it could be lose 10 pounds, exercise 30 minutes 4 times a week and then something fun like taking a trip somewhere you have never been before or not to take everything so serious this year....laugh more, be spontaneous. When you keep your goals manageable and realistic life seems so much less stressful. 

If there is one thing I could teach my patients that would help them the most is to listen to their body.  It really does talk to you! When you are fatigued or exhausted, stop, listen and try to see what it is telling you...is it saying that you are making poor food choices and you are making it sick or is it saying you have too much on your plate and you are overwhelmed? Are you in pain because you have subluxation or poor body biomechanics and posture? Most of the time if you are just quiet for a few minutes and give your brain time to process the feedback from your nervous system you will be able to figure it out. So take the time. Like I always ask my patients, "where do you live?"...it's not your home address, it's in your body. so take care of it! You only get ONE!
